Established by the Sathienthirakul in 1965, the KI Sugar built its first sugar plant in Chon Buri Province. In 1990, its production base was relocated from Chon Buri to Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. And in 2003, Surin Sugar Company Limited, the second sugar plant was built in Prasat District, Surin Province.
Over the past 40 years of its business with commitment to quality system development, the KI Sugar has been certified with quality standard, ISO 9000:2000, environmental standards, ISO 14001:2004, GMP, HALAL and TISI 18001. In addition, the KI Sugar has focused on agricultural management to acquire quality cane to supply to its plants, highlighting cane quality and framer quality development, as well as quality technologies, tools and equipment for cane plantation to ensure quality raw materials before being processed by modern machinery and technologies. Sugar produced will then be of high quality relevant to customers requirements.
The KI Sugar today has 5 subsidiaries as follows:
1. Korach Industry Company Limited, established on December 13, 1990 with registered capital of Bt700 million on 400 hectares in Nong Rawiang Sub-district, Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchsima Province, Produces and distributes sugar with its cane crushing capacity of 28,000 tons per day as well as generateds electricity for bio substances or bagasses. Electricity generated is supplied to the sugar to the sugar production process as sold to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand. Its generating capacity is 42 megawatts/hour.
2. Surin Sugar Company Limited, established on October 24, 2003 with registered capital of Bt950 million on 160 hectares in Prue Sub-district, Prasat District, Surin Province, produces and distributes sugar with its cane crushing capacity of 18,000 tons per day.
3. Surin Electric Company Limited, established on July 4, 2005 with registered capital of Bt995 million and located in the same premises with Surin Sugar Company Limited, produces and distributes electricity from bio substances or bagasses. Its generating capacity is 30 megawatts/hour.
4. KI Ethanol Company Limited, established on July 2,2003 with registered capital of Bt112.5 million, produces and distributes 99.5% ethanol. Its production capacity is 100,000 liters of ethanol per day. The plant is located in the same premises with Korach Industry Company Limited.
5. KI Biogas Company Limited, established on June 25,2008 with registered capital of Bt25 million, produces and distributes Biogas and electricity. The plant is located in the same premises with Korach Industry Company Limited. |
