Our History

Family begins with sugar

In 1965

In 1990

In 2003
Established by the Sathienthirakul in 1965, the KI Sugar Group has
continued to demonstrate its specialty on sugar business. Korach Industry
Co., Ltd. was built as the group’s first sugar plant in Chon Buri Province.

In 1990, its production base was relocated from Chon Buri
to Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.

And in 2003 Surin Sugar Co., Ltd., the second sugar plant,
was built in Prasat District, Surin Province.

In addition, the KI Sugar Group has mainly focused on an excellent agricultural management to procure high-quality cane to supply to its plants. In 1990
Korach Industry Company Limited
(Pimai Sugar)

Korach Industry Co., Ltd. was established on December 13, 1990 with registered capital of Bt700 million on 400 hectares in Nong Rawiang Sub-district, Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchsima Province. In 2016, the company has registered capital of Bt790 million. The operations are based on producing and distributing sugar with its cane crushing capacity of 28,000 tons per day. In addition, it generates electricity from using bio substances or bagasse. Electricity generated is supplied to the sugar production process and sold to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand. Its generating capacity is 42 MW.

Surin Sugar Company Limited

Surin Sugar Co., Ltd. was established on October 24, 2003 with registered
capital of Bt950 million on 160 hectares in Prue Sub-district, Prasat District,
Surin Province, produces and distributes sugar with its cane crushing
capacity of 24,000 tons per day.

In 2005
Surin Electric Company Limited

Surin Electric Co., Ltd. was established on July 4, 2005 with registered
capital of Bt995 million and located in the same premises with Surin
Sugar Co., Ltd. It mainly produces and distributes electricity from bio
substances or bagasse. Its generating capacity is 30 MW.

KI Ethanol Company Limited

KI Ethanol Co., Ltd. was established on July 2, 2003 with registered capital of Bt112.5 million. It mainly produces and distributes 99.5% ethanol. Its production capacity is 250,000 liters of ethanol per day. The plant is located in the same premises with Korach Industry Company Limited. Its capability to produce stream from biogas is 20 tonnes/hour for ethanol production process.

KI Biogas Company Limited

KI Biogas Co., Ltd. was established on June 25, 2008 with registered capital of Bt25 million. It mainly produces and distributes Biogas (from Spent Wash Liquor) and electricity. The plant is located in the same premises with Korach Industry Co., Ltd. Its generating capacity is 4 MW. Additionally, it also sells biogas to KI Ethanol to generate stream to use within its production line.
